Dipella

Our story

Every woman knows the feeling.

You put your drink down to dance, to hug a friend, to find the bathroom. When you come back, there's that small voice: was it like this when I left it?

For a lot of us, that voice comes from somewhere. A friend who "only had two drinks" and couldn't remember getting home. A night that ended in an ambulance instead of a taxi. A message in the group chat that starts with "this happened to someone I know".

It happens more than anyone talks about.

In a survey across 22 countries, around 1 in 5 people said they had been spiked at some point. More than half of those incidents happened in bars and clubs, and only 7% were ever reported to the police.

It isn't rare. It's just quiet.

So we asked a simple question.

Drink test kits and strips have existed for years. But they live in drawers and handbags, and nobody wants to pull one out at the bar. The best protection is the one you actually have with you.

So we asked: what if the test was something you'd wear anyway?

That's how Dipella started. A drink test that looks like nail art. Stick it on while you get ready, and if you're ever unsure about your drink, just dip your nail and wait 30 seconds. If the sticker turns half green, you know not to drink it. Nobody needs to know you're checking.

Not a promise. A check.

We'll always be honest with you: Dipella screens for GHB. It doesn't detect extra alcohol or every substance, and a negative result doesn't guarantee a drink is safe. It's not a replacement for watching your drink, staying with your friends and trusting your gut. It's one more layer, small enough to always be with you.

Your night should be yours.

We built Dipella for the girls' nights, the festivals, the first dates and the birthdays. For you, your sister, your best friend and your flatmates. So you can spend less of the night worrying, and more of it actually enjoying it.
